Sudan offer diverse destinations to tourists, due to diversified attractions found in the country this includes, various ecosystems, cultural heritage of oldest civilization in the world and the Nile Valley.

For Those interested in wilderness areas the country established 13 Pas. The most reachable areas are:

Dinder National Park

This pioneer park was established in 1935, has the largest populations of Guinea fowl, warthog and Olive Baboon in the world

Remarkable wetlands at the edge of riverine forest with spectacular scene of Hyhanae thebica -Doom Palm-

Although the park lost many spp. Still the park is known by high populations of Reedbuck and another spp. That includes Buffalo, lions, Oribi, and rare threatened Roan antelope, Kudu, bushbuck, common duiker and Waterbuck. The nocturnal story includes different cats, hyaena, Galago, Crested propocaine and the rare Aard Vark.

160 spp. Of migrants and local birds and 32 spp. Of fish in addition of reptiles represented by small population of Nile crocodile, monitor lizards and other forms of live

There is small lodge in Galago known as Galago Camp.

The park is open to visitors from Late December up to June and its reachable from Khartoum through Tarmac road and 160 km in rough roads – 9-hour drive through Gazera famous scheme and Sennar city where the Blue Nile can be crossed in Signa city.

In the road the visitors can engage with communities from Farmers and nomads and can taste local delicious organic food nice meet of sheep’s and cattle beef from natural grazed animals and local delicious drinks from fruits of natural trees and herbs.

Dungonab Bay and Sanganeeb Marine National Park

The Sudanese marine waters include more than 800 Km2.

The Sanganeeb MPA constitute the only Atoll in the hole Red Sea, its clean water with a visibility up to 70 meters make the park a paradise for Diving lovers, Dungonab bay is endowed with various ecosystems, that includes beaches, sandy islands, Mangroves, Sea grasses, more than 22 spp. Of Sea Birds, healthy Coral reefs, 3 spp. Of dolphins, 3 spp. Of Sea turtles the fish spp. Includes more than200 spp. The biggest aggregations of Manta Rays, endangered   Dugong the Crystalized water of Khor Shanab and the near Shoaab Rumi qualified the two parks to be the only international Natural Heritage Site representing the hole red Sea according to UNESCO heritage list. The area is famous because the pioneer monitoring program established by Captain Cousteau with his famous cage beside the Yacht of famous actor Marlein Monaro which was sunk inside Rumi area where divers can dive near the Yacht remains.

The local Beja tribe which is well known for their special dresses and traditions they are widely Known by their courage in fighting whereby they are led by Osman Digna became the only fighters who broke the British well known “English Square “Style way in war strategic methods developed by the British.

If visitor is lucky to be at the time of the Annual festival of -Set Mariam- annual ceremony in Sinkat which a traditional “Sofi” religious Khitmia famous gathering in the hole region. 

Jebal El dair National Park

This small park uniqueness from its location of the Sahara Zone which is characterized by having more than 100 spp. Of trees, shrubs and herbs many of them are used as food, medicinal plants, local drinks building raw materials as well as cash products. the park is located near famous Kordofan cities like Elobied, Umrwaba and Alrahad which has the important wetland. The mountain represents the first outdoor attraction which provide an ideal camping site. and those who like climbing adventure they can find different high rocks for their climbing experience, SPAS is planning to construct a trail to easy climbers and maximize the sighting of Kudu who roam on the small plain at the highest zone locally known as Fawas which are dominated by Ganna …….  The local inhabitants are different tribes however Nuba tribe are dominating the inhabitants, they known of diverse tradition, dancing and local inherited knowledge of nature and resources use.

The  Key wild species is  Greater Kudu other spp. Found includes Common duiker, Olive baboon and cats as well as different spp. Of birds, reptiles and nocturnal spp.

The park is reachable from Khartoum by tarmac roads 5 hours drive and one hour from Elobied, accommodation can be found in Elobied and Alrahad however soon a flying camp well by at the mountain

Others Destinations

Visitors can connect their visits by out standing Destination from Khartoum or Port Sudan to the archeological Sites in the Nile and Northern States where the Oldest Civilization represented by unique remains of hundreds of pyramids, old cities and tombs that goes back 10000 B.C in Karma, Kush and Merowe civilization, the region includes outstanding series of island in the Niles tacking a boat journey will be not forgotten.

Jebaal Mara in Darfur is 3040-meter A, S. L. is also an outstanding destination where by a visitor will live with clouds and water springs , waterfalls, volcanic crater with lakes and will enjoy a mosaic of colours of  trees  and plants up to the montane forest located at latitude 12:25 and longitude 24:10  with similarities of rift valleys and the Ethiopian mountains  with nice temperature and rainfall more than 1000 m. the mountains is inhabited mainly Fur tribe who are known by having  tradition Knowledge in various field that  connected to nature and cottage industry  the  special food, drinks and meats cooking style  and dancing and festival can not found elsewhere  

The Mountain that extend 183km with maximum width 80 Km is reachable from Khartoum Via Nyala, Alfashir and Algeneina air ports or by Tarmac roads 12 hours’ drive.

Wildlife Administration also provide birds hunting in many destinations and a list of spp. Hunted includes ducks and geese, sandgrouse, doves and other spp. Provided that the hunter has a license with the all regulations stated by the authorities. Hunting without license, prescribed weapons, adhering to species kind and the numbers stated in the license, fees payment, time and place of hunting and other regulations that should be strictly followed otherwise it will be a violation of law, courts can jail and coinvestigate any thing use in this violation this include vehicles, fire arms ammunitions and everything used in violation in addition of imprisonment and fines
